Magazine cover edits - 2

This is my final cover for now, as I'm not keen on the image or background colour of pink. I have decided to take some more adventurous pictures for my contents page and double page spread. I am also considering retaking the cover photos as they did not come out as planed. Thus causing my magazine cover not looking professional or very good.

I do however like the master head as its bold and eye catching. Also the layout of the text makes the magazine look professional as they are aligned, also with the different size writing, it helps highlight key words or important information for the reader. Making it easier to find out key points and also eye catching as the important text is big drawing the audiences attention.

Magazine Adjustments and Evidence 1

I decided to change the cover image as the photo was quite dull in colour and i image looked boring. Due to this i decided to change the image to the one bellow. I cut the image and added effects to the photo, i felt that this gave off a pop art looking model. I got most of my inspiration from the covers of 'White Lies'.

I then decided to change the background from black to bright pink. As all the R&B and Hip-Hop covers included lots of bright colours with bold sell lines. I tried to mimic this in my own work, i added white bold text to my work so it looks like this:

Although i haven't yet added the barcode, price, issue number date and QR code. I feel like this magazine stands out more then my previous attempt.

Also i think even though i haven't followed my initial ideas, my target market will still be enticed in buying this magazine.

Creation Of Music Magazine Cover 1

To begin I had to choose one of the many photos I took to be the main image. I chose this one due to it being set on a red brick wall which I thought gave the authenticity of a road lifestyle. Also his costume connected well with the background also.
I then added the master head which I changed due it diverting the attention away from the main image, as it was quite difficult to read. After i added the sell lines which i had already planned out in my previous posts. These i had to make black rather then gold due to it clashing with my background.  This then meant that my colour scheme changed slightly as it is no longer Black, White and Gold on the cover.

I then had to align my text to make it look professional, as most music magazines have aligned text. I changed some of the text fonts and boldness to draw attention to key words that are the main focus/highlight of the magazine.

I also added a barcode, QR code, price, issue number and date. This was due to the fact that it I necessary for magazines to have them. The QR code however I placed on the front cover to make it more appealing to my target market as they uses technology everyday so being able to access the magazine on their phones is an added bonus and may make them more interested.
