We began A-Level media by re creating the shot out scene from "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly." We did this to see what we could produce with our knowledge of camera angles so far. It was a test of what we already knew about media.

What is a Subsidiary?

A subsidiary is less important than but related or supplementary to something. Or a company controlled by a holding company.

Examples of Subsidiary companies are:


  1. Blue Sky Studios 
  2. Sony Pictures Animation
  3. Walt Disney Animation Studios

Examples Of independent companies are:

  1. Monogram Pictures
  2. Republic Pictures
  3. Grand National

Mise en scene:


Young - The setting would probably be in house, garden or in a park. This is due to the main areas that the students are aloud in.

Teenagers - The setting would be on the streets, estates or inside a food shop such as  chicken and chip shops.As they are teenagers they are likely to be in education or maybe rebellious and not go to school. Male students, would probably wear tracksuits and hoodies, with the latest trainers. Female students, would wear similar clothes or they may wear very fitted, revealing clothes and lots of make-up.

Middle aged - The setting would likely be in a pub or bar, as they are likely to be working and have regular income. Their costume will likely be normal clothing, such as jeans, shirts, skirts, t-shirts.

Oldies - They would be in a house, sitting in front of the TV or radio. Male - They wear trousers and shirts with ties. Females - Dresses with pumps and stockings.


Sound:

Young - Loud, quiet, 

Teenagers -  Loud, laughing, screaming

Middle age - normal tone, males - deep  

Oldies - Quiet
